Hello Team, as you may or may not know, Vipac has closed their emissions testing facility, meaning there is no place to complete the mandatory IM240 test in Victoria. This move has caught many people including Vicroads by surprise.
Vicroads has asked the SVA / VACC for a proposal to fix this issue. We have drafted a proposal that will be submitted shortly.
As part of our discussions with Vicroads, they would like to understand how many cars are currently being built that have the intention of driving on the road. They would like to understand how many people have been affected by Vipac’s decision.
So I ask you, if you are currently building a vehicle that would be classed as a ICV and intend on driving on the roads (full reg or club permit), please send me an email (woodsy144@gmail.com) with your name and a very brief description (ie lotus 7 replica). I will keep a log of names and the description, mainly to ensure I do not double count.
Your name will not be given outside of the SVA. Vicroads will be given a count of vehicles as well as the count of descriptions (if they can be classified together).
Thank you for your assistance, any questions please ask.
