2012-2013 Overview

  • We have 66 Financial Members
  • How many ??? Club Permits have been approved, a big thanks to Sandro
  • Tim Woods, Has done an excellent job of being on our side and being the VACC/SVA representative.
  • Great success in the “Not the Nationals” at Bright, we all had a good time.
  • There were a couple of trips down the Great Ocean road.
  • Christmas BBQ hosted by Les was given the big tick by all.
  • Coffee East has been well attended with a average of 15 to 16 attendees
  • Coffee West has been well attended with a couple of new members coming along.

Financials

Overview of the 2012-13 financials read to the members; currently have $7040 in our account. Formal presentation of 2013 financial report is to be made on Sunday 7th July…..refer attachment to these minutes.

New Business          

  • Ian Rush moved a special motion, “that Brian Adlam be granted Life Membership of VCBG’ in recognition of his dedication to the position of Treasurer while under extraordinary personal pressure. The Motion was carried unanimously.
  • Phil McKenzie explained how to become a new member on the VCBG website, this has some confusion by some and has asked if there is any advice on how to make it better please do so.
  • Phil McKenzie has asked if anyone can please give information about your cars, pics etc so these can be place of the website, there is some information there but it needs more work.
  • Les Bone has given a task to us all, please look at our website and give any feedback.
  • PayPal was looked at in the past to allow members to renew their membership via PayPal, this has been found to be too costly and will not be explored further.
  • 5Th of July will be a track day at Winton, PRB series cars will be there, will be interesting to come along and watch and have a go.
  • Don Lewis, his clubman is getting there has been stripped and painted and in the process of putting it back together.
  • Lotus Car club has 2 teams into the 6 hour at Phillip Island; Les will be part of an Adelaide team that has entered.
  • Brian has Special deal on Jackets and will come with our Logo, Order forms will sent out as long as you are on the mailing list.
  • Ian rush has given a good explanation of what the result of detonation he has experienced what he has done to rebuild his engine.
  • Following an extended discussion, Don Lewis moved ‘that a set of rules be developed for CPS on associated cars as owned by VCBG members’.  The motion was passed and Sandro agreed to develop a set of rules.
  • 2014 Not the nationals will be at Bright again, more info to follow.
  • 2015 National, all members have agreed that if we are asked that we would be happy to Host the 2015 Nationals in Victoria.
  • Club asset register should be created for our current assets.
  • Possible looking at purchasing a camber and caster gauge for the club.
  • Dyno Day in the near future, few people agreed would be nice to have one. In the process of being looked at for a venue and date.
  • There needs to be a few more tech nights and garage visits.
