Follow up of the minutes of the last meeting:
- Club Insurance, Anthony has documentation from OAMPS Insurance Brokers Ltd for Association Liability Insurance, to obtain a quote, forms will need to be completed then a quote can be obtained, Anthony needs assistance in completing the forms.
- Anthony apologised to Brian for not sending an email out for Saturday 10th November 2012 McHappy Day. Brian advised he was told a club member was there but he did not see anyone from the club.
- Sandro has raised a question “Why are we not using a committee private sub forum on Ozclubbies?” – Due to not everyone having access, Email will still be used as the main communication.
- Should there be a list of members with their specialties and locations around Melbourne for time of need for current financial members? I.e. assistance or breakdown. This will be something we need to think about and discuss further.
1) The club is all good on the financial side, currently we have 56 paid members to date
2) Coffee East and West are well attended and even had 3 people turn up at Westside during the NTN weekend.
3) Bendigo run on Sunday 30th September, We all had a good time with Sandro attending and only broke a guard. We lost Les and Jordon.
4) Rob Roy – come and try day Sunday 30th September – Dave D had a good time, we all should give it a go.
5) “Not The National” 17th & 18th November 2012 at Bright, nothing organised, 26 Cars, weather was perfect everyone had a good time, few cars had problems, but as a Group we all helped each other. We can’t wait for the next one. A big thanks to Crado for making this not organised event happen. On a sad note a local was killed while we were in bright.
6) Rowan, has posted on Ozclubbies “Clients often ask me about the option of using the CPS when enquiring about ICV requirements for replica type vehicles. At this stage we are waiting for the answer from Tim on VSB14.
7) Phil M. has done an excellent job in designing new logo’s for the club, samples are on ozclubbies.
8) Club merchandise – as we now have a new logo. Merchandise samples will be in the pipeline. Hats and Jackets, shirts etc.
9) Coffee East on Sunday the 2nd of December will be a show a tell weekend. Dave D will bring along his chassis for all of us to look over.
10) Geelong Springs will on Saturday and Sunday the 1st and 2nd of December Please come down and show you support to Les and Brendon and a few other members that have entered .
11) BBQ Christmas Lunch on Sunday the 16th of December, is the same day as Coffee West, Coffee then drive to Les house in Hopetoun Park via a Scenic route. Email will be sent with the details. Free for members and partners, $30 for non members with free membership until the end of the current financial year.
12) Friday 28th December 2012, please keep this date open for lunch at Rose GPO Hotel in Rosebud. Dave D. to provide more information when closer.
13) The possibility of lunch on the West side on the third Sunday in January (16th), please keep this date open. Lunch will be south of Geelong, Torquay area.
14) 2013 Nationals “Fun in the Sun”, held on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, Monday 14th to Thursday 17th of October 2013. Reminder email about the event will be sent. Please can we call show the QLD our support.
15) Club Equipment, if any one has a suggestion on what the club should buy then let the club know. E.g.: Turn plates.
16) Next year: Possible a garage crawl, Drive to Halls Gap.
17) Sandro has asked if as a club we can organise a hill climb event at Rob Roy.
18) Dave D, advised on Albins Gears used by many of the big names. Also Dave advise on the problem he has with drive shafts.
19) Sandro advised and gave us an insight to a new build that may happen in the new year
20) De Dion rear end, question was raised on what tube etc to use, Sandro explained his thoughts on how to proceed.
21) Jordon explained his job working as an aircraft controller. Was very interesting explanation into the day to day tasks as a aircraft controller.
